I applied to several jobs in Canada (I am from outside Canada wanting to find work in Canada). I have not heard anything back. Some people who I spoke to at one of the companies that I applied to said that the company received over 1,000 applications for the one position. If this is the number that companies normally receive then how I can possibly distinguish myself from the thousands of others who I am competing against? This seems like an unbelievably difficult goal.
YanıtlaSilYes Paula.. First thing is that its not necessarily true that every position has that many interested applicants. Some positions have maybe 20-30 candidates (especially in smaller less we known cities). Second, there are ways in which you can stand out even among that many applicants.
